Commonly Asked Questions about Permanent Makeup

What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent makeup or micro-pigmentation, is a form of tattooing, I use state-of-the-art instruments to place pigment safely in the epidermal layer of the skin. The result is long lasting waterproof color that won't smear or wipe off.

How Painful is it?

Topical numbing agents to help ease any discomfort you may experience. Everyone's pain tolerance is different, but I will do my best to make your experience as comfortable as possible.

How Long Will it Take?

Please allow two hours per appointment for permanent makeup. It might not take that long, but this allows time to work with you to choose the perfect shape and colors for your skin tone, as well as time for you to numb and to give you the look you desire.

Why Two Appointments?

Permanent Makeup usually requires two applications with at least a month healing time in between. Because the pigments will lighten 30-50%, And some areas may hold better than others the second appointment allows me to fill in any areas that might not have held as well, and to tweak your look to perfection. It will also help your color to last longer.

Is it really Permanent?

Due to environment, skin care products, and cell turnover, permanent makeup will fade some in time. Everyone's skin sheds at different rates, depending on sun exposure (which can fade the pigment), skin care products and other factors.  Most people get a color boost every 2 to 4 years, some people can go even longer.

Is There Any Downtime?

Everyone's skin is different, but usually there is very little, if any, downtime. I give you complete “aftercare” instructions. Brows may be a little tender, and will look a little dark until healed. After eyeliner, you will feel like you've had a "good cry" for a day or so. Using ice on the affected area will help to ease any discomfort you may experience.
